Change Brokers

There are three common reasons real estate agents think about changing brokerages. They all boil down to one thing, reaching your personal goals. If you are thinking about making a switch to Keller Williams I would love to talk to you and give you my personal viewpoint on whether or not KW will make a difference in your dreams. Not everyone is the right fit for Keller Williams so I’m not here to sell anyone the koolaid.

Lack of Training

Real estate is always changing, and even if you are fresh out of your licensing classes you will need training. As a matter of fact, you probably now know that the licensing classes don’t really teach you a damn thing about being a real estate agent! Yep, they teach you how to stay out of jail, and then you are on your own to learn everything you actually need to know. Of course learning on your own can take a long time, so having the right broker that can set you on the path to getting the knowledge you need is important. Keller Williams is the #1 training company in the World, so it is definitely one of the biggest reasons agents consider a switch to KW.

Commissions

Commission split is certainly very important to an agent, after all that is what determines how much money will end up in your pocket to live. Today there are brokers with 100% commission plans, but many agents begin to realize that more is needed to reach their goals. Having access to training, mastermind sessions with top producers and having a broker that is more interested in growing your brand rather than theirs can make a huge difference. On the other hand, brokerages that continue to take a large part of your commissions can net you less even if they provide those other benefits. Keller Williams’ commission cap each year can give many agents the access to the tools they need, while capping what they pay to the broker, netting them more money than they were before. (We can run the numbers if you want to see if you would make more money at KW.)

Culture

Every real estate office in the country is different, simply because there are different people in every office, each of whom brings their own personality and issues with them to work. As someone that has worked for myself for over 17 years, it was important to me to be able to stay away from the drama that so many office environments seem to run on. KW’s commitment to culture helps eliminate most of these issues. Successful agents are willing to share their experiences and help you rather than feeling like you are just competition.
