Get Licensed

To become a real estate agent you must complete a licensing course in the state you plan to work. Each state has their own specific training program and requirements that can be fulfilled through online or in person class sessions. These classes also cover the federal requirements for real estate agents. Most states have requirements from 60-150 hrs of classes to get licensed. At the end of class there will be a test. This test must be passed before you can sit for the state and federal licensing exam.

The federal and state licensing exam is typically completed at a larger facility on their computers. You must pass both the state and federal portions to be eligible to get your license. Some states have reciprocal licensing benefits, so if you are licensed in one state you can get licensed in the new state with fewer requirements. Below are links to information for each state.
